About This Game WARNING: THIS GAME IS EARLY ACCESS ALPHA. In a Massively Multiplayer World where you can fight, craft, explore and live, Arcfall offers a game style that captures old school RPG games with modern quality. Emerge yourself in a world where you can craft your own weapons and armor. Own your own house and fill it with furniture that enhances your character. Hire merchants to sell your goods to other players making Arcfall a pure player driven economy.Being a pure skilled based game, every action you make adds to the growth of your character. Expand your network to include friends in your own guild and raid others in the PvP zones to gain their riches or steal from their homes. Be warned when you kill someone and it is not outside of the King's Reign, you might get branded a murderer and hunted by all.Sail across the world on your own warship and take on pirates on the open seas, or export goods to other towns and sell them at a profit. With so many different things a player can do, you can shape your character and gameplay to the way you want it, the end game is just the start of your adventures. Got the game, stood up for 22+ hours playing it. (The game time isn't correct on my account cause it has me at .5 hours and I have well over 20+ hours while I write this) The graffix are awesome, the grind is fun as hell, the community is kickass, and the dev is a cool dude. I did get the game free but keep checking my in game hours, I promise you more of my life will be lost to this game. If you enjoy that Runescape grind, this game is for you. The game is early access but I haven't encountered problems. Back to the grind I go!. very good game the only issue i have is reading the small words for quests and the ones at the top underneath inventory and character . if you make all lettering bigger then this game would be 100 percent awesome. Arcfall isn't too bad for a Pre-Alpha game!I messed around with it a few months ago and there wasn't much for me to do. As far as I remember, they only had one island but now they have many more to explore. The crafting system is quite in-depth and you to use multiple resource gathering skills to work with the main crafting skills such as blacksmithing. This game has a long way to go of course but with more support from players, I can see great things in the future for Arcfall. Keep up the great work, team!. Not sure this game will survive. I understand it is early access, but holy moly is it beyond flawed. It should have not been released until it has something worthwhile to offer. This game intrigued me at first because it was first launched as an isometric style MMO which I reminisce about since I have been an Ultima Online fan. I’ve played Albion online (and still do a bit), but it had short comings. I am waiting for Legends of Aria (Shards Online) to release but at least that game’s alpha and betas were far more polished than this current remodified Arcfall. This game seems like it is an extremely flawed WOW clone. The collision detection is horrible and the limited avatar body types look terrible with nonsensical portraits that hardly match the would-be WOW body types. For crying out loud, my guy looks like a heap of muscles (with muscles detailed in places that don’t exist, or maybe they just tore their muscles working out in all the wrong places), and the highlight of your introduction to combat will be to take out a chicken, which seems like a final boss fight. The chicken has more health that my hulk looking character?? I get it, it’s early access, but that’s an obvious given about how decisions will be made about this game in the future if stuff like that is allowed to be released.My only feedback to the devs: Believe me, I understand how much effort it is to build a game and then attempt to release it, but converting it to a full 3D free ranged MMO that feels like WOW will not work. There are waaaayyyy too many 3D MMO’s to compete against and this game may be drowned out by the countless games that have possibly more staff and backing/support than you. What you had in the beginning was beautiful and fell into a niche that you can easily capture if you had developed it from an open world isometric standpoint. I personally love your housing concept, you have a great thing going there. Just from your original media pictures, it almost looked like a UO/Diablo open world fantasy that you could invest hours into. Great game, tons of fun, few teething issues.Feels very much like Albion online more than Runescape, which is what I've seen it compared to.Would like to see a more detailed map, I have gotten lost a few times, and a tracker for all the skills.. Great game, the skill levelling system is best part of these game and with many more feature incoming..Also devs are hardworking and listen to players...This game has potential to become next big mmorpg. Fun Sandbox MMO RPG. reminds me of old runescape with WoW graphics. A lot of different skills to choose from, and a very dedicated team of developers. If you have some free time, i would recommend trying it out. Arcfall Patch Pre-Alpha v0.7: With this update we added our first new feature in, fishing. New Swordsmanship Skill Tree: As we are slowly building up to our next major update we wanted to take some time and explain the new abilities and changes to combat that's coming. The first of these is the Swordsmanship Skill. As you all might know with Arcfall what you use determines what skill gains you will have. Using a sword for instance allows you to gain skill points in Swordsmanship. All parent combat skills will have 4 base combat abilities and 5 Secondary Skill abilities. When you gain in skill level it will unlock a new tier for that ability or if its a Secondary Skill ability, allow you to learn said skill.With Swordsmanship you have both damage abilities as well as effect abilities like slowing a target down which is more useful in PvP than PvE. We aimed to balance both PvP and PvE play styles with abilities. Learning a secondary skill like Fire Stance for instance will add a new Skill tree to your Skill list opening up additional abilities listed under Fire stance, using those abilities will then in turn allow you to gain skill points in that skill tree making a players combat style very unique dependent on what abilities and skill trees he unlocks.As you have a limited amount of total Skill points you will need to choose wisely what type of character you want to build. With this insight on how the new abilities will work we look forward to seeing you in game making unique builds to suit your play style. This system will be implemented in our transition update from pre-alpha to Alpha coming soon. In the following weeks we will be revealing the other combat Skill trees so stay tuned.. New Archery Skill Tree: Our next post is covering the new Archery Skill Tree. With Archery we wanted to bring in a balance between movement effects and damage. Combining both the Slow Shot ability which slows a target down with the Swift Feet ability which increases your movement speed a archer will become a formidable opponent. With this there is two damage ability's. One called Bullseye does some major damage but has a short casting time so be sure you use it at the right time.In all abilities where it states base damage, that's the starting amount of damage used in the combat calculation. From there it will determine the targets resist and also add some other stats including your skill level to determine the final amount of damage dealt to a target. The next Skill we will be covering is Magery which will be the final skill for combat changes coming in the next major update.. Pre-Alpha Version 2: We are happy to release Pre-Alpha version 2.New: First version of In-Game items store with Mounts and Emotes for sale.
