Pros: I bought it soon before it came out and got it for only $40 and a free copy of magix music studio with it! MUCH happier with the music program than this.Cons: Rendering is slow. Errors opening .mp4 and .avi. Effects given are numerous yet mostly useless. NO ADVANCED MASKING TOOLS. Random frames from videos jump to the beginning of clip and WILL show up in render, must be cut out. Tools could be easier.Otherwise a good software.7/10. I'm having a YouTube channel and now this Software is my main Cutting program.It feels very easy but professional to use it.It's a way faster than other programs and functionality is a way better than any other software like this.What I most like is that 4k 60fps Rendering works a lot faster than Sony Vegas and that the biggest pro of all these functions.I would recommend everyone who needs a professional Programm to use this!. (GTX 1060 6gb) my render times are 60% fasterU.I is slicker Editing is smoother.. This is a very cool and user-friendly software for video editing. There are a lot of features but they are still really easy to use. I consider myself as a beginner in the video editing world but this software is the first one that I can properly use and get the results that I want in my videos (the other ones that I have tried were much to complicated and I couldn’t get my expected results out). Therefore I can just strongly recommend Vegas Movie Studio 15! Thanks for the awesome work!. I picked this up on a sale as an update to VMS 13. Works fine, crashes are rare, but happen every few hours. This package has most of the stuff needed for personal/semipro editing. If you can figure out using Virtual Dub/AviSynth for video pre-processing you will be golden.The main UI is good, fairly responsive and works well for editing. "Pan+Crop" is still a huge PITA to use - the controls are awkward and keyframing things like zooms are horrible. If possible, use the "picture in picture" effect instead.Video preview is reasonably fast, but desyncs quite a lot when effects are lagging.Exports are ok speed, but nothing impressive. There appears to be a bug with AMD hardware encoding, where it will only do 24fps, so I have to use the good, but slow Mainconcept export function.It appears to have "lost" the "HitFilm" plugins from VMS 13, but if you have the older version you can copy them over. Other than that I will recommend the upgrade, if you can get it on a sale.TLDR; Good reasonably priced. No big problems.
